Be Clear and Simple
Be Clear and Simple
Or: How to Earn More Money
If there's one piece of advice that we've been sharing for decades, it's this: Be clear and simple when speaking to your customers. This is especially true when it comes to printing and signs.
The "latest and greatest" typestyle may look great in your logo, but if your customer can't read it, it doesn't matter. Keep it clear. We've all seen it before....you're driving down the road and you pass a sign. You look at it, but have no idea what it says. The font is too small or the script is too fancy. That company just wasted their money on that sign.
The other danger is sharing too much information. In this day of 140 character attention spans, people aren't going to read a 1500 word essay on what you do. We need to keep it simple.
We've seen it countless times...someone wants to list every service they offer on the front of their business cards, or put a complete company history into their brochure. The hard truth is that people aren't going to read it.
If you keep your message simple and clear, people will get it. And when they get it, they're more likely to buy. And that's good for business.
