Improve Your Culture By Banning These Six Phrases

According to Forbes magazine, there are certain things you can say that will leave a lasting impression - but not necessarily the right one. At work, it’s probably better if you don’t say the following:

1. It’s Not Fair. That’s right, life is not always fair. No point in complaining.  If necessary, document and prove your point - just don’t complain.
2. That’s Not My Problem. It’s much better if you offer to help if you can.
3. No Problem. When someone says “Thank You”, the correct response is “You’re Welcome.” Saying “No Problem” might be thought to convey the same thing, but it implies that there might have been a problem. “You’re Welcome” implies that it was your pleasure to help.
4. I’ll Try. If you ask someone if they can have something ready by noon, you don’t want to hear “I’ll Try.” That implies that they may fail. You want to hear “I will.” That small change speaks volumes.
5. But We’ve Always Done It This Way. Maybe it’s time to reconsider.
6. That’s impossible. Really? Are you sure you’ve considered every single possible solution? Employers notice, recognize and promote a person with a can-do attitude.
